| Currently, most petroleum-based fuels are transported across the United States by either pipeline or truck. BNSF called on TranSystems to investigate whether a viable market exists within the domestic petroleum industry to move large volumes of fuel by rail tank car. The TranSystems team, working with Lodestar Logistics, is performing a detailed analysis of current petroleum industry transportation practices. The research is aimed at identifying recommended market entry points for BNSF to attack. |
