| After TranSystems completed a Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) Crane Operations Analysis, Massport retained the firm to develop cost estimates for new crane purchase, a Return-on-Investment analysis and a No-build analysis to identify non-infrastructure alternatives to improve capacity. TranSystems’ analysis showed that a proposed $20 million project to repave the terminal and to purchase cranes would have a positive return on investment while improving capacity and efficiency. Services included planning, cost estimating, preliminary engineering, and a benefits and utility analysis. |
